Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in understanding their sourcing needs and provide necessary guidance in regards to procurement process.  
  • Partner with Finance, Logistics, Warehouse, QA, QC, and other departments as a contributing partner to the company.  
  • Generate and track savings according to procurement policy. 
  • Promote forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs. 
  • Promote end user and warehouse alignment on material stock levels and reduce redundant orders. 
  • Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality. 
  • Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.  
  • Identify potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and promoting supplier relationship management (SRM) program. 
  • Negotiate and agreeing pricing / contracts and monitoring their progress and quality of products and services provided. 
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile blocked invoices and facilitate processing payments and invoices.
  • Maintain central database for storing contract files and relevant procurement policies and documentation. 
  • Forecast price trends and their impact on future purchase price fluctuations.  
  • Develop company’s Procurement strategy.  
  • Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP activities and make recommendations based on commercial and technical requirements. 
  • Manage and lead procurement specialist(s)’day-to-day deliverables and ensure internal stakeholders’ expectations / support can be met accordingly. 

Job Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum working experience of 3 years 
  • Experienced in ERP system is a plus. 
  • Familiar with local GxP guidelines, policies and regulations is a plus. 
  • Previous experience in procurement is a plus. 
  • Prior experience in pharma / biotech is preferred. 
  • Ability to collaborate across functional groups in procurement related rationale and compiling relevant data to complete necessary purchasing processes. 
  • Strong data, analytical, and statistical skills.

  • Have commercial awareness on market trend, financial data, and raw materials pricings. 
  • Have passion toward supplier negotiation activities. 
  • Written, oral, and computer communication skills in Mandarin and English are essential. 
  • Ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines.  
  • Confident and mature approach in business interactions with internal and external partners.
